I recorded these birds singing in a forest near sablonceaux in france. I used a zoom h1 recorder. I have no idea wich birds are in the recording, but as soon as i find out, i will update the description.

This sound field recording was made back in 2000 on a very late/early morning. I placed the sony microphone ontop of the car outside to record the crickets and cicadas. There were a lot of mosquitos out that hot night. One of them landed on the mic and actually bit the microphone. You have to listen close but the bug bites at about 14:28 and removes the mosquito blood sucker at about 34:28. It's not rain but sounds like rain - fog and damp settling in the trees as a breeze blows. Recorded in the fields above my home in the fog and damp - so sounds amplified and 'hollow'. Recorded using a sennheiser mke300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. Rustling leaves can also be made out. Feel free to hash it, mash it and trash it. Use it as you wish. No conditions.

A 24bit 29khz stereo recording of quite a rowdy sheep herd in a field. Has some very faint wind noise, but if used as ambiance it would not be noticeable. Heard this escalator in an older train station while traveling through belgium and thought this could help someone in their sound design pursuits. Recorded on the fly using an iphone 11.

Another recording of the idling train engine, this time with the spitting sound more towards a struggling pneumatic (air) valve. Also the alarm sound is more of a continuous cycling engine hum.

Recorded in the archeological site of palenque while working on the restoration of mayan architecture, this sound would be heard every morning before the site was open to the public (date: summer of 2018).
